Happy New Year, Happy New Beginnings!

Hi there!  I sure hope that you had a great Holiday celebration with your family and friends.  It’s a new year and time to make those New Year resolutions.  Or maybe we can just call them New Year Beginnings……  That’s what ISAC is working on right now.

I’ve heard that the best sales of the year happen during the month of January.  Well, at ISAC there is no exception to that rule!  Wait until you hear about these 2 sales that are going on this weekend! Plus classes, classes, classes!

The first sale to tell you about is the 80% OFF SALE.

The 80% OFF SALE is a sale where everything, as marked in a special section of the ISAC shop, is 80% off!  Some items will be as low as .20¢, 40¢, and 60¢.  The deals and the bargains are just plain crazy!

Here are some photographs of some of the items that are 80% off.  There are so many things available, we couldn’t take photographs of all of it.  This sale will not be available online.

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW SALE is the 2nd sale this coming weekend.  After 25 years in the ISAC shop, Chef Nicholas and Scott are downsizing with a huge early spring-cleaning sale.  And they did all the cleaning!  For sale are iconic items from the shop including the gingerbread and French chocolate restroom décor.  There are cake baking items, restaurant items, home décor, craft, floral, books and so much more.  These items will be marked to sell, so tell all your friends!!

Here are just a few items that you will find at this sale.

The hours for both sales are Friday, 10am-4pm, Saturday 8am-4pm and Sunday 10am-2pm

Now, don’t go anywhere, there is still more to tell you, so keep reading!

On Saturday, January 11, the same day as the 2 MEGA sales, Chef Nicholas is offering a special class called Rose Bridal Spray.  Learn how to create some exciting Bridal flowers using Air Drying clay.  I love the idea of creating flowers using this medium.  Air drying clay works just like Gum paste.  It can be used on cakes and is very durable, remains flexible, and can be kept as keepsakes.  Best of all, it is not affected by humidity.  If you live in a humid area and have trouble keeping your Gum paste flowers looking nice, here is the answer!

As I write this blog, there are only 3 more seats left for this class.  If you want to learn how to use this wonderful, flexible medium, click on the photo or this class link to sign up.

And last, but not least……The FL ICES Mini Classes in Orlando, Florida will be held next weekend on January 17-19.  The FL Chapter of the International Cake Exploration Society (ICES) is hosting this 3-day event and Chef Nicholas is going to be teaching there!

Chef Nicholas will start with the Friday class where he will teach Tropical Gumpaste Flowers & Orchids.

Saturday’s class will be the Bridal Flower Spray.

Sunday will be all about Fabulous Foliage.

Each class is packed full of hands-on activities and information to create some beautiful projects.  Chef Nicholas provides everything you need.  You just need to show up and have fun!  The location for the event is the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel.  The hotel offers a FREE shuttle from the airport to make it easy to attend.

If you are interested in the classes, you can register by going to this link, MINI CLASSES or clicking on one of the class photos.  Be sure to scroll down to the Nicholas Lodge class that you want to select.

Whew…. I know that was a lot of information to take in, but I didn’t want you to miss out, so I hope you were able to get through it all.  And I hope to see you at one of these fabulous events!

Stay Sweet and Keep Learning!
