HAIL THE RETURNING HERO!

IMG_6440.JPG

The last few years, Cake Masters has hosted the Cake Masters Awards. For the last few years I have worked (with help from all of you!) to get Chef Nicholas nominated for the Cake Hero award. Sadly, the last two years, Chef Nicholas was passed over for the honor. Something I could not fathom, given Chef Nicholas history and prestige in this field. This year, Chef Nicholas and I did not mount a great campaign to get nominated. He has been extremely busy with travel and promoting the new Flower Pro Line with Katy Sue Designs. I was very happy to see that Chef Nicholas was nominated even though we didn’t pursue it this year. Well, this past Saturday was the 2018 Cake Master Awards… AND GUESS WHAT?!

Winner, winner, cake for dinner!

YUP! Chef Nicholas is the 2018 Cake Master Cake Hero Award winner!!! Hooray! I think it goes without saying that Chef Nicholas was very emotional about finally receiving this amazing honor. Chef Nicholas has been a fixture in the cake industry for 40 years. This honor is, dare I say, the icing on the cake, of a long and illustrious career.

Look at this sparkly Cake Hero Award Trophy!

Thank you to every single one of you who took the time to nominate Chef Nicholas for this award again this year. Thank you to the nomination committee who decided on choosing Chef Nicholas as a winner. Congratulations Chef Nicholas. This honor and award are more than well deserved, you truly are a cake hero!

In closing, I thought I would share a few photos of the event! Also, I would like everyone to sit back and enjoy Chef Nicholas’ epic tuxedo jacket (his shoes have bling too!!).
