Cake Oscars!

I have some pretty big news to share with you all today. Chef Nicholas has been selected as a finalist in the Cake Hero Award Category at the 2015 Cake Masters Magazine Awards!!! This event is like the Academy Awards of the cake decorating and sugar craft world!

Back in July when the nominations opened, we asked all of our fans, students, and clients to please vote for Chef Nicholas. The well wishes and positive responses we received from all of you was overwhelming! The nominations closed in mid-September and just a few days ago Chef Nicholas was notified that he was a finalist in the Cake Hero Award category. Chef Nicholas is very honored to be nominated for this award, and he said that he was just so happy that he has been able to make a difference in all of your lives with his teaching and love of sugar arts.

The awards ceremony will be held on November 7th, which you may remember corresponds with our Grand Holiday Open House. Never fear, always the dedicated instructor, Chef Nicholas will still be at Open House sharing all of his amazing new holiday tips and tricks! We will be sitting on pins and needles for the next month, waiting in anticipation of finding out if Chef Nicholas has won the Cake Hero Award! Please keep your fingers crossed for us!

Thank you again to each and every one of you who took the time to nominate Chef Nicholas. The entire ISAC team is dedicated to you all and our goal is to make you happy sugar artists no matter if you make cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or candies!

I have more good news to share! Yup, Chef Nicholas was featured in Cake Central Magazine! Alyssa Christensen interviewed Chef Nicholas, and I think she did a wonderful job, I even learned a few things myself! Although, my favorite part of the article was when Chef Nicholas shared some of his hilarious travel mishaps. Apparently traveling with cake supplies can be hazardous! I hope you enjoy reading it! Oh, and maybe I should send a copy to the Cake Master judges, I’ll be certain to tell them to look up the article titled, The King of Cake. ;)
