The first month of the year is just about gone.  If you are like me, you are back to work and picking up where you left off before the holidays… and…. wishing for the next vacation or sugar get-away to hurry up and get here!  Well, don’t despair, because there are so many fun things coming up in the Sugar Arts world.   Whether you are surfing on the web, or planning your next vacation, you won’t want to miss out on these things.

I understand that January is a big retail sales month, after the holidays and Black Friday, of course!  Frankly, I think it’s a great idea because that means good things for you and me.  ISAC is no exception to this rule!  They are holding their NL “Green Grab Bag” sale.  The team at ISAC have bundled together some amazing products in a special green bag and they are now available for you!!

Here is more exciting news to report during this month of January…. Have you heard about the American Cake Awards 2020?  This event was created to honor the best of the best in the Sugar Arts Industry!

This is the first year for this annual event that brings together bakers, cake artists and businesses from across North America.  The ACA ceremony will take place on April 25, 202 at the Double Tree by Hilton Miami Airport Hotel.  These awards will recognize talent across many different categories covering the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Islands.

We are so excited to announce that Chef Nicholas is going to be one of several judges for the event.  PLUS Flower Pro is the sponsor for the Sugar Flower Artist category.  What a wonderful way to celebrate the first annual event!  Two of the best in the Sugar arts industry, involved in finding the best for 2020!

Now, what we need to do is nominate our favorite Sugar artists, so we can recognize their contribution to our industry.

The website for the American Cake Awards is open now and needs your nomination.  There are so many categories to choose from.  The Nomination Catagories can be found HERE.  But here are just a few of the ones you can select;  Hero Award, Modelling Excellence Award, Industry Icon of the Year, Sugar Flowers, Wedding Cake award and so much more.

The Nomination form can be found HERE.   You have until February 27th to put in your nomination, so don’t delay.

So if you think January is just another month that falls after the busy holidays, stay tuned, there is going to be so much more over the coming months, you won’t want to miss out.

Stay Sweet and Keep Learning!
