Class Schedule Update!

Just this week Chef Nicholas added one of his most popular classes to his summer class schedule: 5-Day Ultimate Gumpaste Flower Class! YAY! This is a class that consistantlygets requested, fills up, and sells out. What makes this class so very popular you ask? Well, buckle up, because it’s a doozy!

Students will arrive in Chef Nicholas’ classroom to begin class at 9:30am on August 18, 2018. This group of intrepid cake students will thus embark on an intense and exhilarating flower making journey. Over the five days of this course, students will be learning, on average, three and a half flowers each day or one flower approximately every two hours and 20 minutes of class. If you are terrible at math, like me, don’t fret- you’ll be coming out of this class with the knowledge to make 18 flowers! Um… wow. Hope you’re ready to get busy!

How about we talk about those 18 different flowers? Not only are you learning a whole bunch of stunning, show stopping flowers, Chef Nicholas teaches you focal flowers, secondary flowers, and filler flowers, buds, foliage- the works! The fantastic flowers offered in this class are all well-known wedding flowers, so if you make a lot of wedding cakes… you should probably go ahead and sign up now. :)

Enough messing about! Let’s list out each and every of those 18 fabulous flowers! In the 5-Day Ultimate Gumpaste Flower Class, students will learn: the Ultimate Rose, Stargazer Lily, Calla Lily, Cattleya Orchid, Cymbidium Orchid, Dendrobium Orchid, Gardenia, Gerber Daisy, Lizianthus, Hydrangea, Stephanotis, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Carnations, Daisies, Eucalyptus, Ferns, and Ivy. I love this class because there are just so many fun, beautiful, colorful flowers. It’s like walking into an edible florist shop.

Five days straight of class might seem a bit too intense for you. Consider this, if you are out of town, you can fly in, take advantage of learning from a titan in this industry (cough, Chef Nicholas, cough), and learning A LOT in a relatively short amount of time. No other flower class offers some many different types of flowers in one single class. And the class begins on a Saturday and ends on a Wednesday, so only three days out of a regular work week. Not impossible! Indeed, very doable.

I think all of you should drop everything and sign up now. As I said at the beginning of this post, this is a remarkable class; there are 18 flowers in five day. Flowers, foliage, buds- everything you need to get through wedding season and impress everyone you know. That’s right… EVERYONE!
