About the International Arts Collection

After many years of traveling to the United States for cake shows, events and conducting hands-on classes, Nicholas made the decision to relocate from the UK to Atlanta, Georgia. During this transition period Nicholas would meet Scott Ewing during one of his classes and soon the two would decide to open The International Sugar Art Collection (ISAC) that would house the Nicholas Lodge classroom and a vast retail gallery of sugar art tools and supplies. ISAC would open the doors for the first class on July 17, 1992.

Over the next 30 years Nicholas would teach countless classes at his home base school, as well as, continuing with classes at other locations around the globe in 43 different countries.

During this time ISAC grew from one small classroom housed in 1,200 square feet to over 7,000 square feet of space featuring a massive retail shopping gallery, two working classrooms, kitchen, student dining room, offices and warehouse. And it was here that nicholaslodge.com, the online shopping website was launched in the year 2000, receiving the first online order just 33 minutes after the launch.

Sadly, the sugar art world lost this great talent and resource on August 9, 2022 and The International Sugar Art Collection became The Nicholas Lodge Legacy Collection. The website continues to supply sugar art creators with the tools and equipment that were created by, used by and endorsed by Chef Nicholas Lodge.
