New Nicholas Lodge classes in 2018!

I always get excited when Chef Nicholas has BRAND NEW classes on the schedule! Yes, that means Chef Nicholas has two new classes for you all to enjoy: Gumpaste Wedding Flower Spray and Springtime Gumpaste Flowers! 

       

Chef Nicholas' brand new, never been taught before, class Gumpaste Wedding Flower Spray, showcases some absolutely beautiful and popular wedding flowers. Students will learn the calla lily, anemone, bouvardia, Forget-Me-Not, berries, and trailing foliage. Roses in various stages, from buds to fully blown flowers, will also be taught.  Once completed students will arrange them into a beautiful wired spray accented with ribbons. This class will go into a lot of detail on creating sugar flowers for production, pricing breakdown, and teaching students how to artfully wire various sprays together to create stunning wedding and celebration cakes. All of the flowers, berries and foliage can be re-created in different colors suitable for any season or reason. I personally love the colors of this spray. The pale pink, bright blue, vibrant purple, and white are just gorgeous. 

This class is being offered twice this year: March 24-26, 2018 and August 10-12, 2018. Both of these three day classes are being offered over a weekend, and of course lunch (and Scott's cookies) will be provided! Yum! Don't miss out on this fabulous new class with Chef Nicholas Lodge. 

The next class that I will share with you isn't actually new; Chef Nicholas has taught his Springtime Gumpaste Flowers class before... but the last time was three years ago in 2015! This class was brought back by popular demand and is being offered as a special edition. It's likely that Chef Nicholas will not teach this class again. Students lucky enough to snag a seat in this special edition class will learn the Cherry Blossom, Dogwood, Daffodil, Pink Tulip, and the Magnolia. I remember the first time I saw gumpaste flowers made by Chef Nicholas. I was blown away with how life-like they looked. Far and away the most impressive was his gumpaste Magnolia. I just could not believe that his Magnolia was made of sugar! Do yourself a favor and take Chef Nicholas' Springtime Gumpaste Flower class. There is no doubt that your clients will be amazed with the flowers you create! This class is being offered this spring (surprise!) on March 27-28, 2018. This class will immediately follow Chef Nicholas' March Gumpaste Wedding Flower Spray class; these classes would be great to take together. In total, students will learn how to make 12 different flowers (counting the berries and trailing foliage) if both classes are taken. That is a LOT of flowers!
