CookieCon!

Hello friends! I have fun and exciting news to share with all of you! Chef Nicholas will be at CookieCon! Hooray! Last year was the first time Chef Nicholas attended CookieCon, but I never mentioned it here on the blog. If you are thinking to yourself, Stephanie… why did you TELL US Chef was going to be at CookieCon? That my friends, is an easy answer. The 2017 CookieCon event sold out so quickly that I didn’t even get the chance to write a blog about it. That’s right… the event sold out so fast that the blog I was preparing became irrelevant by publication day! Yes, CookieCon is THAT AMAZING.

Who’s ready for CookieCon!

Last year, Chef Nicholas participated in the demo table. He was able to offer tips, tricks, and technique advice to everyone attending. This year, Chef Nicholas will be offering two Add-On Workshops: The Art of Royal Icing and The Art of Fondant and Gumpaste. The classes will be offered on Thursday, September 13 in the morning (8am-12noon), and afternoon (2pm-6pm), respectively. This two workshops are not included in the CookieCon ticket, and require a separate registration. But hey…. let’s talk about what DOES come included in your ticket to CookieCon, and when you can register for the event!

CookieCon will be held September 12-15, 2018. In the past it has been held in Salt Lake City, UT. However, this year it will be held in Indianapolis, IN! Good news for those of us who live on the east coast; a bit more centralized in the destination! The tickets, which sell for $299 include a lot of awesome stuff:

  • The opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top decorators in the industry, including 7 lecture-style classes
  • A CookieCon Tote bag and swag from the fabulous sponsors, along with the chance to win one of many door prizes up for grabs
  • Hands-on experience with cookies, icing, equipment, and supplies provided for your use
  • Your choice of several focused break-out sessions
  • Opportunities to participate in other fun activities and entertainment, including a tasting event
  • Entry into our Sugar Show in as many categories as you like, with the chance to win cash prizes
  • Opportunity to register for Add-On Workshops (optional and additional cost)
  • Shopping with vendors
  • Dinner on Saturday night at our Awards Banquet

Hotel and transportation are NOT included in the ticket, but there is a convention rate being offered. You can find more details on transportation and lodging at www.cookiecon.net. Chef Nicholas was so impressed with everyone at CookieCon last year, that when he met Tunde Dugantsi there last year he immediately invited her to be a guest at our Grand Holiday Open House last November. Everyone at ISAC (who DID NOT get to go to CookieCon) was completely wowed by the photos Chef Nicholas showed us. The amount of talent at CookieCon is astounding; it’s no wonder why this event sells out, and does so quickly.

Ok, ok. I know you are all dying for me to tell you when registration opens. The answer is TODAY. That’s right. Stop reading this blog and head over to cookiecon.net to register right now before it sells out! Go. Now!

Sweetly yours,

Stephanie
