Students will learn how to create the hibiscus, plumeria, bird-of-paradise, bougainvillea, anthurium, white ginger, vandal orchid, oncidium orchid and the vanilla orchid including vanilla bean pods. Tropical foliage will be included.

“Five Day Ultimate Gumpaste Flowers Class”

You will learn an array of popular bridal flowers which are suitable for wedding cakes. This class is ideal for out of town students who wish to learn a variety of flowers in a short time period.

The class will include focal, secondary and filler flowers plus assorted foliage. This class deals mainly with wedding type flowers. (We also offer seasonal wedding flowers in our spring, summer fall and holiday classes.) During the five-day class students will create: the ultimate rose, stargazer lily, calla lily, cattleya orchid, cymbidium orchid, dendrobium orchid, gardenia, gerber daisy, lizianthus, hydrangea  stephanotis, lily of the valley, sweet peas, carnations, daisies, eucalyptus, ferns, ivy and rose leaves. Where appropriate, buds and leaves will be included.

Important Class Information
Class Registration / Cancellation / Policies:
  • We require a non-refundable registration fee be paid at the time of registration for each class you register for. The registration fee is applied towards your class fee.  Class registrations and cancellations cannot be accepted by email.
  • Two and three day classes require a $50.00 registration fee and five day classes require a $100.00 registration fee.
  • The balance of your class fee is due 14 days prior to the beginning of the class.
  • Class fees may be paid by money order or by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
  • Registration fees and class fees are not refundable due to a student being “a-no-show.”
  • If cancellation is made more than fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the class, class fees only will be refunded to the student.
  • If it becomes necessary to cancel a class of any kind due to low enrollment, all prepaid fees will be refunded. The school does not accept responsibility for airline cancellation penalties or other expenses incurred due to class cancellation. Every attempt will be made to cover all of the material outlined in the class description. However, due to unavoidable situations, it may be necessary to change the class outline due to time limitations and other situations.
  • All class sessions include a light lunch each day, as well as morning and afternoon coffee, bottled water and soft drinks.
  • The classroom is opened by 8:30 on class mornings. Most students arrive around 9:00 enabling them to get settled in (and have a cup of coffee) before class begins at 9:30.
  • Class is scheduled to end each day at 5:30, but may go longer. Please plan on an additional hour on the last day to allow time to complete the class project, pack up your work, etc.
  • For those of you who will be flying into Atlanta to attend class, we suggest that you book your return flight no earlier than 8:00 P.M. of the last day of class. This will allow time to finish class work, pack your completed project and allow travel time to the airport.
  • For the consideration of others, video cameras, beepers and cellular phones are not allowed in the classroom.
